You can only get one new resident per day, I had 3 ready to come to my island by the time I got the house plots, next time I'm on I'll get the third arrival.

I think the only upside to decorating your house is you get awards from the Happy Homes Association or whatever. I think they will give you stuff if it’s real good. I think down the line the overall attractiveness of your island is important to attracting visitors and residents so it’s definitely worth spending time…
Could you imagine if Nintendo decided to just surprise drop HD remakes of all the 3D
Mario’s for the anniversary? I mean, I'm sure that's not what's happening, but if it did, I'm pretty sure the (gaming) internet would explode.
I know it’s a pipe dream (ba-dum PSH), but a Super Mario RPG remaster maybe?
Why are you even playing this game if you find it so annoying? Seems like everything you want runs counter to what Animal Crossing is about.
You can buy medicine at the store, or at the tent if you don’t have the store yet. It’s not a big deal....
Devolver: “shit...we were planning a joke zombie outbreak this year...now we have to come up with a new sketch”
Ah, the wistful flashback gaze of someone experiencing several hundred hours of gaming in one moment...I love the feeling.
Pokemon has always, and always will be, targeted for the kids. And none of those kids care about things that riled up the haters. I think Nintendo would be more worried if long-time fans (who are not kids) were the ones happy while the kids are disinterested.
“Duringthis period, software sales were powered by Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield to the tune of 16.06 million units worldwide.”
“I was emotionally invested in an evil demon priest and his story.”
Yes, I was so ready for him to turn on you and become a boss, but it never happens. What we get instead is the story of an evil priest that everyone knows is evil but accepts anyway and give him a loving home until he decided on his own to turn on his…
It’s a great game, but I wish the building up your island part of the game was expanded and tied into the story instead of mostly just being an endgame activity. And the Malroth text eats away part of my soul whenever it pops up.
It’s great! Except for those horrible, terrible bits with Malroth when text slowly rolls onto the screen then waits a minute per word and... you... can’t... skip... it...
Yup! there’s even a blurb about it in the rules:
Kinda, yeah. The Mandalorians are the Batman to the Jedi’s Superman. It’s often how they’ve been portrayed by hack writers, Jedi get super special awesome powers to solve whatever problem shows up this week, Mandalorians get super special awesome tech to do the same sorta thing in the same way.
IMO, the shows have handled it pretty well. At the end of the day, it’s nothing more than a symbol, a political tool, and the shows have treated it as such. It’s nothing like a Green Lantern ring as it doesn’t give anyone special powers (at least not in that sense, it still has cultural/political power).
You don’t need to do anything. Watching and reading extra materials gives extra context, but you don’t need that extra context to enjoy what The Mandalorian or Star Wars for that matter.
“Darth Maul, back on his bullshit...”
I disagree. I’d much rather have a well-paced 20 hour game than a game stretched to 40 hours. Almost no games are Witcher 3 best-of-both-worlds.
I don’t get this idea that a 30 hour experience isn’t worth $60 when people regularly spend $20 on a 2 hour movie.
