The time to repair/refit a mech is rough, at least in the beginning, but otherwise I’m very much enjoying it so far. Feels like I’m back in the days when we had the hex maps and our metal miniatures out.

I would say, yes, give it another shot. At least finish the first episode (they’re only 15 minutes). My wife and I weren’t sure what to make of it at first, then we got to Retsuko entering ‘rage mode’ and death metal singing about her “shitty boss”... and we got it. We’ve been hooked since.

Don’t let the cute cartoon fool you, this show is made for adults. It’s about being trapped in a souless job, office politics, looking at a bleak future, etc. You, as an adult, will be laughing a lot more than a couple seven year olds, who haven’t had the life experience yet to understand what the joke is about.

I think I -might- have heard about this when it was announced. Haven’t heard anything about it since. Which means it wasn’t getting exposure, and that means it wasn’t getting ratings, so...

Sooooo... are we allowed to bring our own cats along?

I wasn’t sure what to make of DitF at first, but something about it just kept me watching. And now I’m glad I stuck with it. I’m hooked, and I keep telling people who turned away from the excessive fanservice that it’s worth giving the show a chance (which I understand, I almost gave up on it too).

I’m sorry Gina, most of the time I love your articles, but in this you’re wrong. Sera is the best! I’d take her along with me all the time and swap out companions just to hear the banter with her. The only reason my Inquisitor didn’t romance her was because Josephine was just too adorkable.
