Lets see some examples of people saying a war (actual war, not just standing up to Putin) with Russia would actually be good.

What I don’t get about this commentary is the constant narrative the war with China will be bad and the U.S. shouldn’t antagonize them, but war with Russia will be good and the U.S. should defintely stand up to them because of Ukraine and the Baltics. How does that work? Both conflicts would be a disaster.

And in a senseless move in 2009, Obama lifted the sanctions against Russia that were in effect over the Georgian invasion, when there was no rationale for doing so (and Russia still occupies Ossetia and Abkhazia, despite withdrawal from such being part of the agreement to lift sanctions.)

So Trump wouldn’t be doing anything different from what Obama just did yet it would be somehow more evil?

Thank you. Even if you want to make the argument that NFL players are adults and therefore have decision-making power in their own lives (again, this is faulty logic), that isn’t true for high school or even college kids. And given what we know now about brain development, those are critical years. So you have HS

The argument that people knew what they were getting into is silly. I played high school football, and while clearly not talented, even I was told to suck it up and play. I remember getting my “bell rung” and people laughing about it as I looked up to the sky wondering where I was. I don’t remember (ha!) the word

I dunno, maybe we should all just drive Porsche 928s and nothing else.

I disagree completely. Taking him down was justified, forcing him to comply is justified. Punching him because of your emotions is not justified. Policing should never be personnel. Yes, I am holding the police to a very high standard, but as a society I think we should.

That’s a lot of money to spend just to destroy a 30 year-old Toyota pickup with a couple rusty Soviet machine guns mounted in the back.
