Just observe the number of surfaces you touch for one hour or one day with your fingers. You are picking up microorganisms that can cause any number of illnesses, notably because others are not handwashing appropriately and surfaces are not regularly cleaned.

The people who aren’t vaxxed and don’t mask probably are also less likely to be testing themselves each and every time they get a sore throat or the sniffles.

1300 vs millions. Likely you keep looking for the same pattern over and over again.

I know someone who was unvaxxed, caught Covid, and couldn’t taste anything for a few months. I guess that’s mild compared to being hospitalized or dying, but still sounds pretty unpleasant to me. I’m happy to be vaccinated, have yet to get Covid, and will take whatever boosters come my way

Of course, being vaxxed isn’t just about reducing your symptoms but also reducing the chance of transmission. You could have COVID, be asymptomatic, and be less likely to pass it on if you’re vaxxed.

I had it in 2020 pre-vaccine. I am just now beginning to be able to smell things and not just burning or foul rotting burning stuff, and the fatigue has never gone. I was sick for a month.

Give AMERICA what it wants - a white guy playing Black Panther!

I sometimes wonder just how much I’m missing from Lifehacker because of this bug.

Right? The average age in the senate is 62 years. Is it an issue that elderly people are discriminated against for housing, job opportunities, healthcare, etc.? Yes, but forgive me if I’m not sympathetic against criticizing a demographic that has an outsized grasp over powerful institutions and wealth in this country

The headline on this article made me real nervous for a second. It proves that age is no excuse for TERF-y transphobia.

“Research Story: enter a world of meandering bureaucracy. Submit your research proposition and don’t forget approval from the ethics board. Funding? Thou jests. Use up your vacation and travel expenses to find and interview subjects. You thought you were done? There are more levels for your enjoyment: find and

As the guy who eats lunch alone in my car:  Don’t ask me to lunch.  I’m in my car to get away from people for an hour.  Leave me alone.

Sorry, this is terrible math. You’re calculating a per serving cost but not breaking everything down to a serving. The easiest one to look at is the mozzarella cheese at $3.50 for 8oz. You’re only using 4oz of the cheese so that would $1.75 per serving. Any of the pantry staples are larger bulk items you aren’t using

AirBnB is a plague upon communities and the housing market, so whatever pushes it one step closer to collapse is fine with me. Karens and Beckys, for once you can call with impunity AFAIC.

Yeah, I can read and hear all of those things about cookie dough, and it doesn’t matter. I’m still going to eat a considerable amount every time I make cookies.

The glass & ice probably has more microbes than the garnish which is sitting in brine or alcohol.

Lots of women who wear hijabs show some hair.

I was just in France last month and never experienced a rude Parisian. Almost all of them spoke English and we’re appreciative when I attempted French.

I mean, we’re still in the middle of a global pandemic that’s impacting production across multiple industries. We see it with the PS5 and with graphics cards; it’s part of the reason many stores are having trouble keeping some products in stock. I don’t think that points to rushing or deserved roasting.

And we have a winner.
