That's correct, when I visited the UK last year I noticed that everywhere I went. Loved our visit, wonderful country, but that struck me as very odd.
Flys frequently rub a set of legs together. An elderly person once taught me to wait until the fly is rubbing a set of legs, and then go for the kill. Works almost every time.
