I get enough headaches just by switching back and forth from a notepad to my monitor, I can't imagine how awful constantly switching from focusing 1/2 inch away to the real world would be. They could probably get around this issue with eye tracking, but that's pretty unnerving to have a computer constantly tracking

My thoughts exactly. CAD work is awful without a mouse. It could be designed to work with trackpads (pinch to zoom, multiple finger swipe to spin the model or rotate about an axis) but there's really no reason to since Mac and Laptop users aren't their target market.

Option 1: Baseball has [MLB.tv], hockey has NHL gamecenter, basketball has something similar, and NFL is broadcast over the air (at least it is here, maybe there's some streaming equivalent too). There are a couple ways to get around the blackout restrictions, the Amazon AWS method looks like the best option - [jtmck.u

Glad to see AirPlay is going deeper than just iTunes on OS X. I hope it'll do more than just mirroring though. Being able to select a single space (is that what they're called in mission control?) or application/window could be much more useful - work on one space while sending video to the TV.

You're right, flash-only streaming won't work on all devices. Some of the networks (ABC, NBC, PBS) have apps that let you stream some content; I don't know how it compares to the amount of flash content they've got though.

While this is a step in the right direction, those networks are already free over the air and have online streaming (there might be a delay for new episodes).

That's my biggest gripe with x10. Sure, it works, but man is it ugly.

It's interest free for 12 months and builds credit, so why not?

I've been using a post-it page marker (instead of tape) for a couple years. It works wonderfully. My driver's license uses a blue one and credit card uses green so they're easy to find as well as remove.

Question: What are your tips on getting your significant other to part with their heirlooms/trinkets/mementos/keepsakes (you know, the stuff that gets a permanent spot in the china cabinet and gathers dust all year)? Not for me, of course, I love our tiny tea kettle shaped salt and pepper shakers...

"In the 50's, Douglas Hougen puzzled over a way to unfasten spots welded together (spot welds) between car panels without damaging them like the state-of-the-art tool at the time, the impact air chisel, tended to do."

Sometimes it's the closest/quickest camera. Last night my dog started talking for the first time (like a husky, not a human) and I got the video with my iPad since I was already using it. It's awkward, but great for those "a crappy picture or video is better than my re-telling of this" events.

Of the 25, are there any where an electronic copy/scan is not equivalent to the physical copy?

I was just going to post this same thing. My HP work PC doesn't have color-coded jacks on the front.

Apple could have a new pedistal design that would allow you to switch between a low angle, touch friendly position and the current, upright position. I doubt they would make the iMac touch only, since the Mini, Mac Pro, and MacBook (pro/air) lines would still use the trackpad. It does seems like Lion was a step

The tablets with hormones in them are white, the placebo tablets are pink.

True. Glamor shots aside, I was thinking more along the lines of clay iPads.

"Some of the faulty packs have no active hormone at all, while others don't have any placebos. Either way, you don't want to use them, unless you're keen to gamble on having a kid real soon."

Eight looks really nice, but I think the google search bar is unnecessary. Maybe this weekend I'll just dust off my HTML/CSS skills and make my own.

If you use a to-do list for groceries, you can create a recurring task for the common things. I have dog food repeat every 2 weeks, milk & juice every week, etc.
