I have Pulse on my iPad and iPhone. On the iPad, being able to change the view (from text) to web lets me login to different sites and view comments - does the iPhone version have that feature hidden away somewhere?

I thought there was a way to see what email address the screen name is associated with (or the other way around). I don't know, it's been ages since I used anything besides text messaging.

Exactly what I've been doing since the guys on Car Talk mentioned it. No blind spots and whenever someone comes up behind you with their brights on, they only hit one mirror.

Alphabetical order is nice, I always liked that about Linux (although their adjectives are pretty cheesy).

I don't understand why anyone would publicly name an OS after food.

It would be helpful to ask if the position is open to replace someone or if it is a newly created position. If you'd be replacing someone, there are probably established responsibilities, processes, and expectations; if it's new, those 3 will probably change a bit.

Well played.

You mean to tell me that this Beta software doesn't perform flawlessly? I'll call Ripley...

Follow the rules if you're relying on public roads.

I wonder how expensive this'll be. I'd rather have my car broadcast my license plate number - maybe then we wouldn't need front plates here anymore. Put an antenna in street & stop lights and now you've got a way to track every vehicle in the city all the time.

Plywood and osb is probably a better analogy.

I hope the Lion version is available in the mac app store. That way you could pick and choose which applications to install instead of the whole package. I've used iWork and Office enough to know that I'd only want Pages, Keynote, Visio, and Excel, so I could avoid paying for the rest.

I have heard of people adding a bit of sour cream after they reheat theirs. Personally, I've never had any leftover mac and cheese to reheat.

...American Airlines gave you 75,000 miles when you got their branded credit card. Virgin Atlantic has offered 50,000. United has done 40,000. The quickest and best way to gain a lot of free miles is to get one of these travel credit cards...

The one thing that would've saved us 15-20 minutes checking in, getting through customs, etc. is replacing an old passport. Wife had coffee spilled on her passport so the barcode couldn't be scanned; maybe we just had slow typers, but it wasted a lot of time.

I'd recommend cooling leftovers prior to putting them in the fridge. It's usually cold enough here to put leftovers into containers and store outside for a couple hours to get them around 40 degrees; I bet a cooler full of icy water would work well too.

You could always get a set of powered computer speakers or a bookshelf stereo system

This is probably Apple's small(ish)-scale test of Siri. The Apple TV was their small-scale test of OTA software updates on iOS; after they were satisfied with the process, the other iOS devices gained that feature.

Cheese is one thing that I'll rarely, if ever, go generic on. Some cheap cheeses don't melt well and don't taste quite right.

I saw one in downtown Minneapolis while picking my sister up from a twins game. I thought it was an Elise until I got close - I was too far past it by the time I got my phone out to snap a picture.
