So, fun fact: In the main menu there is a help section that is basically a huge tutorial for the different aspects of the game. I don’t believe it’s ever mentioned in game, but it is there, and it explains pretty much everything you could ever want to know about the game.

I agree with some of your points, but I have to disagree with you about the Pip-boy. Granted it is a bit clunky, however, it’s meant to add immersion into the game. It’s not supposed to be some smooth perfect UI, but rather this atomic 1950’s era smart watch. Also, if you don’t know how to use V.A.T.S. you should not

I would argue that many of these gripes are actually done to deliberately feel old and archaic. A full on satellite image or a nice 3d color map wouldn’t make sense in that Fallout world. Hell, computers in 2077 still used vacuum tubes and had monochrome screens with physical switches. It’s supposed to feel clunky

Seriously, if you have a tablet. Use the darn pip boy app. I’m not sure I’d be able to keep my sanity if I wasn’t using this glorious app. It makes navigating everything a little less awful. Using your own actually touch input to navigate feels so much better. Also nice because you don’t have to keep entering and

I really wish Bethesda had not Mass Effect up the dialogue system or made the main character voiced because honestly to me having the main character voiced did not really add anything to the game. That being said I do like how when you skip dialogue the player character will go uh huh and stuff like that.

So recently, I spent half an hour trying to get to Diamond City by following the indicator.
