Pretty much all of this. I can't deny Aaron Tveit's talent, but every time I've seen him he just radiates this smug bastard aura that I can't ignore. It made his whole performance distracting. NLB was, as usual, flawless, and your description is pretty spot-on.

For both of you: if you're interested in Tony Head, Cumberbatch, and British radio programs, may I humbly suggest you check out "Cabin Pressure"? It's a comedy series written by John Finnemore. BC is a main character, but Tony Head is in at least three episodes. Hilarious show about a charter airline firm.

I also saw it and (begrudgingly) really enjoyed it. Sure, some of the sentiments are dated, but one could say that about Chicago or Ragtime as well. It's styled to within an inch of its life, but it works, somehow. And I disagree that you have to be a fan of Green Day to enjoy it, because I am emphatically not. I
