Last week I was optimistic for Louis' return - I'm not truly familiar with his work but previous hosting efforts were a mixed bag to me but always at least interesting - but yesterday morning Gawker posted an article about how Louis is, apparently, all sorts of creepy -

with SNL, I optimistically start in the middle at a C - since there is usually one or two jokes that land - and will go up or down dependant on things like chemistry, effort on the guest host and whether or not any of the sketches are good. This was truly a mediocre ep but Reese threw herself into all the characters

you're welcome!

Grumpy this morning?

While this episode did repeat some thematic beats I don't think that was a bad thing. This type of insecurity is definitely something that lingers and while we saw it play off Pearl before seeing Amethyst with Garnet in this way was a nice insight into the two of them.

I don't know - why even ask that on the main stage? Especially after Violet's much tighter cinch the week before without complaint. Max could've just waited until backstage. And even more so than that how naive to think they wouldn't use the moment?

A few weeks ago I theorized that Ru was stacking the deck for Ginger to win and this elimination all but proves this. Which isn't me saying that Jaidynn deserved to leave (her Raven at least managed a few laughs, something Fame's Donatella didn't do) - or that Max didn't sign her own ticket with that corset drama (if

'Davidson’s stoner teen affect is a good fit, and there’s nothing
inherently objectionable about portraying such occurrences as male
wish-fulfillment (felonies though they may be)'

I too think that this season has been a chore. the surplus of team challenges has really put a damper on it and hopefully snatch game will signify individual work from now on.

I actually really liked the use of Harmony here (then again, I never saw true blood so maybe my seeing her play this sort've character with fresh eyes helped out ever so slightly). It might not have been as exciting as, say, faking an election but there was real merit to the tension between her & Mellie that rings

If I was a conspiracy theorist I'd say the deck is being stacked or either Max or Ginger to take the crown this year. Given the large amount of dead air that seems to be happening this season Kasha was amongst the few that really brought a personality to the overall show and while perhaps not a winner she seemed like

While Kennedy was funny I do think tha Ru has a soft spot for 'ghetto' impersonations - Shangela & Coco's comedy routines come to mind, as does Trinity's - and gave her the win when it should've gone to Jaidynn instead.

Now All I can think about is 'Alone together', when the Gems reassured Steven by telling him that a fusion was hard and Garnet said 'not for me'

What episode were you watching?

Reflecting on this premiere vs. Last Year's I think that the split format has some really good merit at its heart - more time to focus on each queen, nowhere for any of them to hide - the mistake was not putting them both on in one ru-persized premiere night. The meeting of both groups at the end of that second

I don't know - while seeing more of Rosa's relationship with Marcus could break some interesting ground for the show her holding her relationship close to the vest makes perfect sense in show canon. Rosa is not an emotional person and who she chooses to show that vulnerable side to could likely be counted on one hand

This episode was everything. Cicely owned it from the moment she walked through the door & rightfully called out how ridiculous it was that it was just open and only continued to do so the rest of the hour, from the Anna scenes to even delivery of things like 'WHERE Is the home training?!' I can't even deal with it.

I am SEETHING at Anika messing with an addict who was actually pulling
herself together and for what? to undermine Cookie? She's so determined
to best her that she's fucking with not only her fiance's money but hers
as well. Before tonight I was hoping they'd keep her ambiguous -
anti-cookie but pro-empire - so her

Exactly. Even with the little we know of Rhonda I feel that there's a whole person there - both the schemer and the very loving/devoted wife - but Vernon & Andre seem like one character split in two at the moment so hopefully it's an issue that remedies itself in the future.

This was a really great episode although for someone who said he didn't hold Joan responsible Andrew's dad sure knew how to lay on the guilt right afterwards. ouch!
