I’m not familiar with the source material, but I’m getting cautiously optimistic about “The Boys”. The marketing is at least catching my eye so far.
Yeah, to be clear, I liked the movie quite a bit and I think they nailed Mysterio. Jake Gyllenhaal crushed it.
I like Kraven, and I adored Kraven’s Last Hunt, but I dunno if I’m feeling it in the MCU/Spider-Man universe. Kraven works best imo when the Spider-Man universe is dark, and I don’t think I want to see Tom Holland trying to go dark.
Even with the explicit explanation that these are “N64" sneaks, I’m absolutely not seeing it.

Best case scenario (and I’m not saying I believe this at all, just that it’s the most charitable thing I can think of) is that these people are so fucking scummy and immersed in this shady shit that they don’t even realize anymore that it’s scummy, shady shit.
It’s clear they’re putting some effort into this movie, and I hope to be pleasantly surprised when it’s all said and done.
I can confirm, they are triggered.
