No. This is absolutely not the case.

This is one of the reasons I love Mass Effect.

Murray wrote, “We will talk more about each of the three major components of Beyond when we know we can be precise, and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”

While not essential to the experience, I think some of them can be great. Depends on the game and the community though. I tend to visit them to enhance my enjoyment of the game and learn things I didn’t know about them, be it strategies, insights, lore, etc.

Gaming subreddits are generally the alternative to a developer/publisher’s moderated forums. Good luck dropping criticism on an EA game on an EA forum - it will be removed and you will be banned. But if you find it’s Reddit counterpart, you can usually find much more honest discussion (along with a lot of toxicity,

I was really gungho for Anthem and really hoped it would be the game I wanted it to be. I got in on it early with the Origin Premiere stuff and everything.

Apex Legends got ruined in two ways for me very quickly.

Man, the article was listing off quests, and I know I’ve played those quests, but fuck if they ring any bells right now.

I didn’t even have to be there to know that wife.

Yeah, I’m not talking about service members wearing BDUs here.

I hate to buy into stereotypes, but damn, seems like whenever you see a grown ass man walking around wearing something camo,  it’s a pretty safe bet that you’ll be hearing something hateful and/or ignorant from them.

I type like stupid fast (something like 110-130 WPM I think). Does that matter in Epistory or this game? I always wanted to pick up Epistory in the hopes I could crush it with that speed, but I don’t know if the game does anything to value that.

Andromeda has solid combat, but the entire campaign is a story that didn’t need to be told, with characters that are all boring and/or unlikable, and an execution that said “we’re just cashing in on any goodwill left over for the brand.”

I have zero faith in Bioware at this point. Andromeda was a big red flag, and their post-launch support of Anthem seems like 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Seems like they can launch a game with good fundamentals, but they don’t know how to support it thereafter these days.

That correction doesn’t really fit with Anthem, it only has cosmetic stuff available through real money MTX I think.

Despite it’s many flaws, I think Metal Gear Solid 5 established that open world stealth/spy games aren’t necessarily a bad idea.

Same. I tried to come back when the Season of the Forge stuff dropped, but it absolutely did not do it for me at all. I was completely turned off.

I think it’s worth noting that Anthem has lore, has its own world (though it admittedly doesn’t appeal to me like Destiny’s did). Those things are there in Anthem.

I’m someone who has been enjoying Anthem, so I don’t say this to hate on it:

I came here thinking “Lifeline? It’s Lifeline, isn’t it!” because I main Lifeline.
