I grew up with point-n-click games like QfG, Police Quest, King's Quest, et al.; I really do love them, but it IS getting out of control.

I never really played demos until I had my 3DS. I guess I played computer demos, but that was back in the day as a wee lad. Anyway, one demo I tried that absolutely sold the game for me was Fire Emblem: Awakening. I'd never played a tactical RPG before, and man was it enthralling.

I went to my Target and it wasn't on sale. I asked if they honored the online price, and she said no. Anyone else running into this?

Some people just love being part of a community, y'know?

Haha. I mean, to each his own, right? I definitely was frustrated with it in the beginning, but as another poster said, once you really get into it, it's pretty addictive.

Blasphemy! Whenever I was frustrated with my progress in the game, I would spend HOURS playing Blitzball... I found it so enjoyable.

Plus, I think a 7-night stay at the Burj-al-Arab's top floor will cost around $130,000 (this is based of the price listed on Wikipedia, since the price for that suite isn't on the website).

They should combine the spy training and hostage rescue experience. I'm imagining something like while the person is learning "covert ops" or whatever, s/he is kidnapped and then rescued.

I've been excited for this game since it was first talked about on this site. Now I just need to get my hands on a PC...

Talk about getting sucked into a rabbit hole!

What?! Oh man, I need to look this up when I get home.

I used to spend so much time on Hanzi Smatter and other sites like that. I speak Chinese and have a poem I want to get tattooed, but even if I have it all ready to go, I just can't bring myself to have someone who doesn't understand characters do it. Of course, I also have a system in place where I must seriously

It's never happened to me, but it has happened to a bunch of people I know over the years. Of course, it could have something to do with airlines or stop-overs. I don't think any of them lost their luggage completely, but the most recent friend this happened to went about two or three days without luggage.

That's a great idea. I just put everything in a compartment or two in my backpack.

But they DON'T lose luggage.... it's just temporarily (or permanently) unavailable. :)

DISCLOSURE: I'm not a parent, and I plan never to have children (why would I, when I'm in my 30s and I can barely afford to take care of myself?). However, I spend a lot of time with friends and family, all of whom have children ranging in age up to 5 years old. Sure, I don't know what it's like to be an exhausted

Are you my brother? The last time he was over my parents' house, we went through all our lego and duplo sets, including some of the really crazy shit we built (without sets or anything since we grew up before the craze where you just bought kits to build things). His son who's almost two is already really into

Cool, thanks! I've been meaning to learn Japanese for a very long time. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it.

Oh, no need. Thanks for the offer, though!

Very cool! I'll add this to my list of potentials. Thanks!
