Won Kow's claim to fame is they've been in operation since the 1920's. Their menu is closer to Chinese-American food; in the last 10 years more "purebred" Chinese restaurants (serving regional cuisine, as opposed to "Chinese" the umbrella genre) have opened in Chicago, mostly north of Archer.
