I’d much rather have a 308 or 328, which are prettier than any of the newer ones, cost a fraction to buy and maintain, and have performance you can actually use all of on a public road. But that is just me. I even like Mondials... 355 and up just get into the realm of silly.

Scarily, in many, many states you can drive an air-brake equipped RV on a plain old passenger car license as long as you are not being paid to do it. Right up to 50'+ converted bus RVs, no extra training required. Scares the crap out of me, as someone who used to get paid to drive buses back in the day, and had the

Never owned a boat, I take? It's like burning money...

I don’t really want a pull-behind, as the idea is it only moves 2-4x a year or so. I don’t want to have to daily drive some huge truck/SUV when I am in my winter location. A trailer small enough to tow with a car is not something I want to live in for 3-4 months at a time, even part-time. I’d rather have the truck

You wouldn’t pay it, and neither would I, but this *IS* the market price for one of these cars based on actual completed auction listings. Just a few years ago they were $10K++, and mileage doesn't seem to matter much! The people who want one really, really want one and will pay for the privilege.

I’m planning to do just that for 3-4 months a year. Tired of Maine winters, will be looking for just this sort of bargain in a couple years.

Every car loan I have ever paid off except one has had the option of having the title overnighted for $15 or so. I have always taken that option. Most of them STILL wait 10 days to actually send the title though, even with a bank check.

I would consider that $12K very, very well spent. Life is too short to buy dull beigemobiles, no matter how economical they are.

Maine doesn't really have emissions testing. You can't have a CEL lit, and in the two most populous counties there is a gas cap test if your cap fits the state mandated test gizmo. Most cars do, some oddball ones don't. The safety inspection is fairly rigorous though, particularly for rust and rightly so.

I did mine in a diesel Suburban. Took a long time to find a space big enough to attempt the parallel park portion of the festivities. And at that there was no car behind, just one in front. I passed.

I look at it this way - in the grand scheme of things, $6900 is pocket change. Just the OPTIONS on my newest car were 2X that much. You cannot even begin to buy an average Scirocco and make it this nice for what the ask is on this one. And an average Scirocco is about fit for the scrap heap at this point. So if you

Wheels are the size they should be, just big enough to clear the brakes. Anything bigger is slower.

You can get all that stuff on a basic 228i for around $40K if you lay off the other option packages. Just not in one limited production package that will feature a SERIOUS added dealer greed markup on it. And it will be smaller and lighter too. There is probably an aftermarket LSD that is better value than the

Nice one! I learned to drive in a RHD Land Rover, so I feel your pain. I also had LHD Peugeot 504s that had the turn signals on the wrong side because French car, so why not?

Timely. I am starting to look at RVs, as I have a job where I can live pretty much anywhere near an airport, and I am about done with spending winters in Maine. So I want a winter place “down South”, but I don’t really want to buy property down there yet, nor have I any idea WHERE. The idea of a $25K used RV that I

One thing I truly appreciate about my employer is that they have absolutely no problem telling clients that they are no longer clients if they prove to be more trouble than they are worth. Unfortunate, but you just can't fix crazy.

How many million Minis has BMW sold? The only thing not BMW about them is the badge. I fail to feel the angst. FWD makes perfect sense in a vehicle that needs to maximize interior volume. Nobody races minivans.

The very thought of anything made by Lucas being near salt water makes me slightly ill. And the standard British leaks could get a tad dicey.

The Nissan V6 sounds like a coffee grinder and the interior is Tokyo-by-Night done on the cheap. But if you prefer that, enjoy your Nissan with bells on.

Every time I have been in a G37 I can’t help thinking how obvious that it is that they are so much cheaper than the equivalent BMW. I guess it will do if you can’t afford the real thing.
