Nixon wasn't the guy who started the war. He was the guy who took too damn long to end it.* But Lyndon B. Johnson is the man you should be thanking for the war itself.

Sounds intereting. Thanks for letting us know about it.
Personally, I always thought the first half of "Gangs of New York" (which I also saw at the cinema) was good enough to justify sitting through the entire film, but it does kinda fall apart during the second half.
Yeah, "Reservoir Dogs" and "Jackie Brown" are pretty much tied for me, but I had to put one them at the top, and the thread turned out to be largely about "Jackie Brown," so I took the easy way out.
I'm surprised the review doesn't mention how "Eph" administered a mercy killing to that hapless convenience store clerk. That was clearly intended to represent a substantial development towards his assuming of a "total war"-type mentality.
What can we say? Its frankly odd that you don't see them that way.
Believe it or not, I won't watch…
[adding obligatory Platinum Rosebud reference]
Its also possible he just smoked some weed for the scene.
The correct list:
They should start.
The Master doesn't like dogs.
That would have been a good option in his case.
The word is "strumpet."
That man's a credit to this nation!
I prefer "The Two Towers," but I'd say its his second best.
This is a truly excellent film. Although I've had some difficulty finding people who agree.
It was just awesome to see him working again at all, in '92 (he was so totally-off-the-radar for years). He was very good in "Pet Sematary" also.
I saw this about five years ago, and its not very good. Its amusing the way they did about twenty product placement shots for "Minute Maid Orange" soda. I didn't even realize they were still making that stuff in '94.
I don't know what "Friday Night Lights" was, or who this extraordinarily attractive young lady is, but I'm not buying her as "Wonder Woman." She looks like a gorgeous woman in a "Wonder Woman" costume, but she doesn't look like "Wonder Woman" at all. Not buying it.
Works for kids, anyway.
