It took him ONE HOUR to flip the fuck out about the Merck CEO but took 48 to give a half-assed, forced statement that Nazis are bad. Please tell me we’re just unfortunately stuck in the alternate timeline.

As someone who works in DC and knows a lot of people who work in government, that idea of a massive conspiracy that doesn’t ever get disclosed is just laughable.

“We all salute the same great flag”

What I thought. Actually what I thought well before he even got close to the WH. I kept thinking “Surely the people who actually control American politics won’t let him ruin their cushy gig.” and continued to be surprised by a distinct lack of removal every step of the way. My whole belief system is in tatters now.

I’m impressed at how well they reattached Trump’s arm after all the twisting that must have been necessary to get him to do this.

Unfuckingbelievable.

I did think his speech was awful light on condemnations:

“This country has no place for racism or hate. Now let me tell you how great this Mexican-hating sheriff is.”

He also floated the idea of pardoning Joe Arpaio just after these comments. He’s signalling as clearly as possible that he is still willing to go to bat for Nazis and white supremacists.

This man’s continued existence is proof that JFK was not killed by any government plot.

Oh, I know.

I’m picturing a bunch of people, sort of standing behind his chair and squatting next to him, speaking in hushed voices ‘you don’t want to be seen as a real bad guy, now do you? So you’re gonna need to say nazis are bad. Good boy’, like talking a kid into doing something they don’t want to.

The racists on many sides, probably.

Not sure which is worse: the quasi-voyeur/incest pose, or the eye-melting decor.

You sure that’s a getty image? Cause I’m pretty sure I saw that up on Barazzers the other day.

This is about a quarter of our population. I think its much more significant than you estimate.

He probably has a long list of insults lined up for each person on the council. “Oh, oh, so Ford wants to leave? Well, JD Powers gave the new F150 a “don’t buy” rating. And what’s up with the new Mustang? Not as much horsepower as the Camaro!”
