Not great, Bob!

Agreed on both counts — I thought the Generator Rex crossover was one of the better examples of the genre; a little bit meta but not too much, with elements that could satisfy fans of either show while still functioning as a coherent story
The Ben 10 concept lent itself unusually well to toy merchandising. Over the course of my son's childhood, I can remember buying him one Generator Rex toy, one Secret Saturdays toy and approximately 11,000 Ben 10 toys.
"A lot of guys ignore the laugh, and that's about standards."
Someone did some homework on the generally preferred pronouns for trans people - Osgood refers to Prime Minister Harold Saxon (aka The Master) as "she," using Missy's post-transition gender. Nice.
I think this was hands down the best episode the show has done. A credible, interesting antagonist, good fight scenes and actual emotional complexity. Plus it prompted an interesting discussion about bisexuality with my son.
My son (then 6 yrs. old) and I watched the episodes in a somewhat random order, and I have a very clear memory of him making fun of me when I started bawling during "Tales of Ba Sing Se" - then later we watched "Appa's Lost Days" and he cried through pretty much the whole thing. This show is not for the faint of heart.
