Right now, I'm slogging through the SXSW band sampler...744 songs this year. I don't know what I'm going to hear as I move to each song. But I do know that there are certain formulaic lead ins for certain genres that I don't care to hear. It takes me all of about 5 seconds to guess the genre and move on if I don't

Ah, Grasshopper....chop wood, carry water.

Mental trick to remember the URL: deturl = detail + url.

Just let the magic smoke out one time. They'll never ask you back to fix their computer ever again.

Don't sound like you come from northern Scotland...

Yea, HomeDepot is way ahead of the game with that. Labels with the paint formula and name along with a daub of paint on the label.

I hated iTunes because it tried to force to organize my music in a very different fashion than I done for years and years. And it wasn't simple and easy to move music from my desktop to my phone. And the syncing...oy vey. Now I don't care about iTunes because I went to android and haven't looked back.

I'm with ya there. My response is "Meh, who cares?"

That reality does not exist in my household. We have a small bag of single socks. Every two or three months after we get done folding laundry, we get the bag out and try to find the matches. Lay them out. Different colors, different styles, different sizes...no matches. We sigh and put the lost socks back in

Umm, or you could just learn how to do the same thing with your thumb and forefinger. Earsplitting and high pitched. It's one of those things I learned how to do as a kid.

A little bit of Plasti-Dip goes a longs ways

Paintshop Pro 9. The last build I kept is from 2004 which was the last JASC product. I quit buying it after Corel bought it out and ruined it.

I just reuse plastic grocery bags that I was going to recycle anyway. Cheaper than ziplocs and I don't have to eat the Pringles.

I still have my Regal card which nets me some freebies like drinks and passes as well as popcorn (I usually hand that coupon to some family with kids). I dropped the AMC card as soon as they starting charging $12 for privilege of getting nothing useful in return.

Applying for Federal jobs is a pain. You have to go through JobsUSA and type in your resume. No sending a link, no mailing a paper copy, type that sucker in.

We usually don't worry about trying to find something on the menu for our wee lad. We usually just pack a PBJ and other stuff that we know he will eat. When we get our food, we break out his dinner and everyone is happy.

Is that for your belly button lint? (cringing at the thought)

Excellent idea! That has been the single problem I have had with my knives.

Sigh. Now, like i09, there is annotation on the pictures. I turned those off because 99% of the comments in the annotation were stupid, inane, and banal remarks by the giggling, smirking author adding nothing of value to the piece.

Yea, I didn't get my first computer until I was maybe 33 back around 1988. I used them in the labs in undergrad, but didn't have my own for a few years until I could afford one.
