where did you hear this? According to this Pitchfork interview from 2012 they were really good friends:
"DP: Brian and I were friends for a long time before this band and, beyond anything, we wanted to maintain our friendship."

Why does every single thing SNL does have to be funny? You wouldn't say that about a sitcom, most of which go to the not-meant-to-be-funny well far more than SNL, so why does SNL have to be so boxed in?
I found a clip of his response but can't be bothered to dig through the full debate for what she said to him, do you know?
He was still captain up until they had to go into witness protection, wasn't he? So presumably he's taking some time to recover from being impaled through the leg and then they'll deal with the problem of two captains once he's ready.
I don't know that I agree that 'C' should be the median. Obviously your position is the more intuitive one, but it seems like most of the time (especially around here), 'F's are reserved for things that just abjectly fail at not only doing what they want, but also at even being what they're supposed to be — look at…
another problem is that I don't see any way a movie adaptation could be anything but R-rated
I think what wrecked the trailer for me was the crappy, generic music you'd respect from any garden variety crappy romcom. It made me wary of the movie, but as most of the reviews I've read have said it comes close to reaching the highs of the book, I'll probably give it a look.

I come 3 months after the end of the series with a thought:
because he was proud of being a drug dealer. He was tired of only 'degenerates' like Jesse and Tuco knowing his secret, and he wanted someone to know that he made the money through his chemistry talents.
If you don't want to watch David O. Russell films, that's fine, but it's nonsensical to say you hate Jennifer Lawrence for getting the Oscar nom if you haven't seen the film. Most of us who have seen the film agree that Lawrence's performance was great, and the nomination is deserved.
@TheBurntIce Just because it isn't rape under the law doesn't meant it isn't rape. Barney's lies kind of negate the consent- that's like two companies signing a contract, and then one of the companies finding out that the other company blatantly and knowingly lied in order to get the contract, and then the lying…
