According to this chart, there are still more arcade games than any other game (although, I assume that includes sports, fighting, shooting and racing games), and, inexplicably enough, there are still more text-based adventure games than shoot em up, sports, racing and puzzle games combined.

That's what made him such a great villain... purely evil villains never have a line to cross, they're just evil. This guy knew right from wrong, and had his own views on which side he was on and what it would take for him to go further.
