@user_21938: Pretty sure that's the other way around. I remember watching the theatrical release and being pissed that he lived (ruining any build up of dramatic tension about his "legend" status that the movie had achieved)... but the alternate ending was on the Blu-Ray.

People keep saying Monsters takes place in "Central America" but take a look at the damn map. As someone who lives on the border of the "infected zone," I can tell you - this is not Central America.

I enjoyed the film tremendously, but some of the criticisms are valid. As much as I like Michael Sera as an actor, I have to agree with my wife when she says he doesn't "look" like Scott Pilgrim. Overall I liked the episode, it wasn't as good as the last one but it wasn't as bad as Duh Vinci.
