At least this is a way to make sure the new features (like hd rumble) are used and adopted by devs. Nintendo did the same thing with all of the wiiU pro controllers.

It doesn’t get better from a story perspective. I didn’t care at all for the female lead - no chemistry and no interactions to give her depth. Game was fun enough to beat but once you get to the end I wasn’t inspired to “perfect” my save game file.

One solution would be to enable a mode where you can use cheats and let folks play - not everyone is willing to commit the time to “git gud”. No One Lives Forever was one of my favorites that I wish I could play again.  Basically making fun of the whole James Bond thing while providing really fun game play.
