Almost all of the LS motors in the GM cars can handle nitrous very reliably... I think you can run 100 shot on a bone stock LS1 without issues...

I slid a Grand Prix I had into a curb on ice once, bent the tie rod or whatever the adjustable one is for alignment and that's it, but it bent it pretty good. I can imagine a live axle car to be much less forgiving...
