This is the America I know and love.

No, that’s just how the leftist Gawker style media works.

It’s a good article otherwise, that quote from the Chinese is completely unnecessary. It adds nothing and only disparages the sailors themselves.

While I do agree with your point about ruining the beautiful natural landscape, these are empty shells. Basically just sheet metal and steel tubing. The engine, transmission, tires, interior and fluids have all been stripped.

the story leaves off that Ford crushed all cars “assembled” by Mark

Oh good, looks like I might be realigning a passenger rear door on a white F-150 XLT SuperCrew sometime in the near future.

“What PPE should I wear for this job?”

Actually Scion put it up high and farther from the driver. Such that you don’t have to take your eyes very far off the road to see the speedo. Nothing like this Tesla abomination, where the screen is lower and closer to the driver. You have to take your eyes way off the road, and refocus to the closer distance.

OHSA is like a cop after a traffic accident, rarely do they educate before the fact only there afterwards to hand out fines.Just my opinion.

“Meanwhile, workers are left to build ships at their own risk without a government that cares about their welfare.”

Front end was contained and yet the back still went for the nearest grouping of bystanders

The Gawkerverse need to pin this failure on the President to meet the goal of declaring everything a “mess” and ‘fascist”. We give the Pres too much credit (OBL raid) and blame (Yemen hostages killed) for military ops.

It seems like Jalopnik has become an echo chamber for political views that ignore both sides of an argument and agree with whatever MSNBC said this morning. I liked it more when it was about cars. I’ll take my clicks elsewhere so someone else can make their fractions of a penny on my viewership.

He’s also having 3 inaugural balls (instead of 10), a much shorter parade than usual, and cutting back on a wide variety of tax-payer funded presidential luxuries.

Because old conservative men are known for their love of plastic econoboxes? Definitely not the generation of the muscle car or anything. GTFO

I come to Jalopnik to see cool photos and pictures of automobiles; read interesting and clever articles about automobiles; peruse equal parts snarky, knowledgeable, and funny comments about automobiles; and write my own rarely knowledgeable, occasionally funny, and aspiring-to-be-snarky comments about automobiles. Oh,

Liberals are going to be whinging about the popular vote for the next 4 (or 8) years. Liberals don’t understand how our election system works, and certainly can’t fathom why the Founding Fathers would have set it up so our urban hipster friends don’t get to dominate our election process. (Me, I call it inspiration.)

“...got 2.5 million fewer votes than his opponent,” Except the US is a democratic republic of fifty states so the vote total doesn’t matter.

“so normal and commonplace that people don’t shame and kill each other over it”

What’s becoming funnier by the day is their tagline: Drive free or die. Paraphrasing “Live free or die” doesn’t really jibe with a bunch of whiny millennials who work as hack writers on an increasingly liberal rag of a blog.
