Agree with you on price. This looks nicely done, but:
I share your thoughts. This looks like a reasonable approach to restoring a 65 CJ. It keeps most things original while addressing 2 key issues: 1. Modern engines are better, and 2, seatbelts save lives.
I rented one of these for a week when they were new. It drove nicely and was actually quite comfortable. However, at just under 2000 miles on the odometer, various plastic parts were failing all over. The cigarette lighter had melted itself loose, and couldn’t charge my phone (yes, I had one of the blasted overpriced…

Are you a teacher, or are you married to one?
Yup, I get a video on precision bending of plexiglass with a heat gun. Useful, as I'm planning a storage cabinet for cleaning supplies with removable washable plexiglass shelves.
I believe there’s a market for Daytonas, and the Laser is the same car. But the price is way off, especially if you consider the drips in the car’s path. Is that just water from a fresh wash, or is this car leaking as much oil as a 1960s Dodge truck? Looking at the picture the valve cover, I wouldn’t bet on the car…
