That’s what I was thinking, that it wasn’t a piston but a plug.

I used to could not even. Then I took evening classes.

Did I just wake up in 1991?

I need it.

...lest a woman be recognized.

“Dammit Kimberly! You’re not supposed to say it out loud!”

Previous owner (aircraft mechanic) of my NB tried to do this—never got it working, but managed not to brick everything.

Straight vertical side windows make for terrible night driving. Reflections of traffic on one side are indiscernible from actual traffic in the same part of your field of view.

Why does it look like three trucks?

Jesus, what a mess.

BTW, with so much bad press about airlines, that’s Alaska Airlines skewing the average upward. Ten years in a row “Highest Customer Satisfaction.”

To be fair, the Renaissance Center is kind-of an eye sore and should never be reproduced in any medium.

Alaska’s newest configuration drops a single first class row (4 seats) to provide 4 rows (24 seats) of of 35" seat pitch immediately behind the first class section. Meanwhile the rest of the cabin is 31-32" seat pitch (12 exit row seats get 36" pitch), and just 15 seats at the back have a 30" pitch, the most generous

Lol, they chartered a 737 Classic. Hope they handed out ear protection.

BMW complains about heavy American transmissions, makes a 3-Series that weighs more than 2 tons.

This is a horrific mess. The signature details of the exterior are all busy textures, formless blobs, and horror vacui filler. The soft, sloped snout and large-radius headlights scream “minivan,” and the single wrap-around taillight screams “import minivan.”

I’ll wager the 4 united employees were mechanics on a field trip to an “AOG” situation. AOG means “aircraft on ground,” or when an airplane requires immediate maintenance that cannot be deferred. A grounded plane, like a 737, represents a loss of about $30,000 of revenue per day, depending on configuration and route

Alaska Airlines employee here, my wife flies in leggings nearly every time she travels, and I always travel in sneakers.

These little planes are absolutely capable of taking off and flying until they are out of fuel without a pilot on board. If the controls are trimmed right, it’ll fly straight and true until its ready for weigh-in. All it needs is a hot mag with impulse couplings and enough room to accelerate to its stall speed.

New commodities like building materials and labor. Mark my words, Mexico won’t pay for us to build this wall, we’ll be paying them to build it for us.
