The wall logo is straight out of Twin Peaks, too. I couldn't find it online, and don't have the time to pour through the show right now, but there's an office with a yellow wall that has a red zig zag line painted on it. Sherrif's Department, maybe? It looks quite similar to the Wexler/McGill logo.

I'm not certain, but I wouldn't be surprised if Chuck made copies.

As the reviewer touched on, this kind of "con", in your words, is not Jimmy's speed. I would say it's not a con at all. It's just surveillance, and Jimmy has no clue of its purpose. Jimmy runs a con with his mouth - he is up close, talking and thinking and bamboozling until he's successfully conned his target. Quiet

Really? I thought S5 was amazing and really funny. My expectations are tempered for this season though. The reviewer is spot on, the D.C. aspect of the show is what gave it the sharp edge it's known and loved for. Without their immense positions of power, these people are just kind of dysfunctional assholes. I hope

As a someone with bipolar disorder, it's one of the most truthful and real depictions I've ever seen.

He definitely recognized her, for sure.

Melancholia is a fantastic movie.

I feel like they've been echoing a lot of the themes of The Sopranos lately. When Phillip says "You should've asked" before he kills the lab director, it felt like such a Sopranos moment - creating a justification, no matter how flimsy, for something inherently unjustifiable.

Yeah I don't know if The Shield finale will ever be topped, ever. It's absolutely flawless.

But let's be honest - as good as Malek is, he's not on the same level as Rhys in this show. Maybe he could be with the same material, but the way Rhys plays the density of the material, his layered performances…fuck it's frustrating to see him get shafted year after year.

I think that's what's most interesting and compelling about it. Infidelity in relationships is incredibly common, and often it is never revealed to the partner who has been cheated on. It's more interesting, imo, to see if Mickey will be able to use that unfortunate backslide into addict self-destruction as a inciting

It was heart-hurtful but I love the choice that illustrated how many of us can make addict-like choices, engaging in destructive behaviors to cover up bad feelings because those behaviors give us the Aristotle's "laetus" type of happiness.

I strongly disagree. Think about how Dustin was introduced in season 1. Flipping out at a party, being an overall asshole, and calling her a "whore" in front of a crowd.

Really? Where did you read that?

I think you're onto something there: I definitely felt a (very subtle, when AW wasn't looking) contemptuous vibe emanating from Elizabeth during that scene. I think she's been burned and is clearly shutting herself off emotionally in this case.

Yeah, I'm actually not as positive now after reading more into the show and listening to some interviews with Bloom. Maybe since I'm bipolar I just am viewing it through the lens, but I still think she probably is.

Rebecca is definitely bipolar though. The whole wedding prep plot was a pitch-perfect portrayal of a manic episode.

That. Was. AMAZING!

I think it would have worked with more intent/a sexual vibe in the scene between Scott and his coworker (although that is tightrope to walk w/o falling into unsavory stereotypes about the "other woman"), and a few more scenes illustrating the buildup of frustration.

Holy shit I totally forgot he's Tim. Yeah he's incredible
