I understand that older fiction is going to depict race issues differently, but “In the Vale of Lost Women” is so blatantly racist that I stopped reading Conan stories. Like the earlier stuff I read was overly concerned with race, but that story had Conan (who at this point has faced monsters and all kinds of demons)…
