Well, outside of the fact that most of the plotting for this finale was recycled from last season's finale (k-bomb/l-bomb, mind-controlled city/mind-controlled Superman, lots of alien extras), the only real difference this time around was Kaea gradually throwing away her ethics all season for her new boyfriend, then

" it trades in so many familiar tropes"

"I think they should’ve saved Teri Hatcher for a different role later in the season and cast Lucy Lawless (a.k.a. Xena) as Mon-El’s mom."

"It seems like every week I take a “some was good, some was bad” approach to my Supergirl review."

Show has FOUR episodes left this season, honey. Way to be observant, as always….NOT.

"This week Laura Vandervoort (who played Supergirl on Smallville) throws on an unlicensed Mystique Halloween costume to play Kara’s latest nemesis, Indigo, a villain who is alternately described as a “living internet,” an “alien cyberthreat,” and “a glorified Windows Vista.” She’s meant to be a cutting edge

"Had this episode cut back on the DEO procedural stuff, the CatCo character antics, or the Lucy/James drama, it might have had room to explore its heroine’s worldview a little more thoroughly."
