Moonlight as an Uber black driver at closing time. That way when people throw up on it you can blame it on the alcohol rather then they way it looks.

“Sir! They are breaking through the line. Look!”

They don’t drug test at Jalopnik do they?

My 21st century hotrod: A 1200hp all electric s10 that I am racing this weekend at the Colorado mile. I keep meaning to write up the build but I have been spending all my time turning wrenches....

First gear; Unfortunately it’s not because people have gotten smart and expect gas to be going up again. I say this with confidence because sales of trucks and SUVs are through the roof while they can barely give away hybrids and other fuel efficient cars. Speaking of which I am planning on buying another volt at the

My 5speed, 4 banger, GMC Canyon crew cab 4x4 is still getting 23mpg. So it’s doing better than all of my previous toyota trucks......

Great car, wrong swap. If they had just upgraded to a turbo motor from a 200 then this car would be epic. The V8 is heavy and kind of a dog really. My 90 lemons car has the na 20v and it a few upgrades it is putting out just over 200. I went with CP but I give credit to the builder for a pretty good implementation of

Need for speed; Porsche unleashed.

Just for your post I will shoot some video with the gopro this weekend and put it on the youtubes.

I do need to put up driving videos. All the ones on my channel are technical ones.

Now playing

It’s not THE craziest but I did take a E30 and put in 2 electric motors. One motor is a 11” DC electric motor from a forklift and then wanted more power so I belted on a old AC electric motor and coupled them both to a dodge truck transmission with some jeep parts and then powered it by the batteries from a wrecked

Yep. The volt has the same issue. You can hack the car to cut the 0 to 60 time. The batteries in the car are actually capable of well over 300kW but gm neutered it to 111kW for a variety of reasons.

"I don't know sir. I was tracking the F16 on radar but then it just disappeared!"

Articles like this make my heart ache for new episodes of junkyard wars. Hmmm...... I have a great terrible idea. Junkyard wars combined with the 24hrs of lemons. The teams get 24 hours to thrash together a car in the junkyard using only what is around them (minus saftey gear). Then when they race they get

It seems like auto manufacturers have gone backwards on this. My C5 vette had the very useful, but poorly named DIC (driver information Center) that you could scroll through and get tons of info. One time on during a race I got a abs fault. The DIC said it was a right rear wheel sensor ground fault. Sure enough

BTW, I forgot to say it's one of my favorite parts of the car that I can drive like a bat out of hell and it doesn't matter. I just spend a extra 5 cents for electricity on my 33 mile commute.

"you aren't going to achieve the fuel economy numbers advertised on your new car? (Not if you're a reader of this website and drive the way we do, anyway.)"

As a former DER having done part 23 windshield certification testing my official assessment is: holy $&it!

"They managed to landed safely, despite their wings suffering catastrophic damage."

"The benefit of Duroplast was that unlike fiberglass, this cotton or wool re-enforced resin plastic "
