I found myself in your shoes recently and hiring a resume/interview coach was a game changer for me. If you can swing the cost (mine was like $300 for everything) it might be worth looking into to get you out of your rut.

Also, job hunting is the most absolutely miserable frustrating thing ever.  I totally understand

I busted up at your crotch landing comment - my cat aims straight for my uterus.  I mean, like, just ‘cuz they took hers out doesn’t mean she gets to be an asshole to mine.

Same.  Seems like everything is fine as long as I don't jam them through my eardrums.

Caitlin is so damn interesting!  Because of her I’ve figured out my final plans and have communicated them to my family.  They’re not wild about my request to dig a hole by a tree and toss me in, lol.

After three and a half really lousy months I’m employed again! I’ve lost track of how many applications I’ve sent in and how many interviews those resulted in, but finally something stuck and I’m really excited :) It’s a short term contract to tackle a specific project for now, starting next week, but could become

For the poor stiffs in the back? It’s the same misery of the 11, the 14 and the 17 hour flights. Just more of it.

I hit three months of unemployment last week (which sucks ass) but am picking up as much side work as I can and am finishing this month out ahead! The extra is going towards property taxes as the cheeky county assessor raised my taxes about 30% recently but I’m just happy that my emergency fund remains full and

I'm a ginger. The fewer holes the sun can try to kill me through the better.

Sign me up too.  I don’t even need the sunroof.

I unexpectedly became a parent last year when my young nephew was handed to me to raise. Going from single and fancy free to 7:30am school dropoff and weekly activities within days. To say it threw my life on end is an understatement. The biggest struggle is finding the time to get everything done and struggling to

Just wanna do a big ‘ol thanks! for noting the difference between single parents and solo parents. It’s blinkin’ hard it is to manage *literally everything* under a household, plus yourself and a small kid, entirely alone (and maybe 3-4 days a month where family takes the kid to give you a break). As much as my

Damn.

It’s a book from the Amulet series, which from what I can tell is some kind of pseudo anime fantasy story with robots and pink rabbits and Elf Kings and ?

I’m afraid to say I did exactly that and he’s not getting it...at all.

I’m helping my nephew with his first book report and fucking hell, this is not fun at all. Please tell me that school projects eventually stop resulting in tears...?

Yeah, it’s so weird that I had zero trouble. I just created a profile and am apparently showing up in searches because several people have messaged me asking me to take on their jobs. I don’t have the paid profile (but the people messaging me might). I haven’t applied to any jobs either. Definitely do include your

I drove my brother to work today which required me to take a slightly different route than I would take to get home.  My brain was on solid autopilot and I seriously could not get any directions right and I felt like an idiot.  It happens to all of us :)

#1 rule in life is “don’t stick your dick in crazy”.

I my unemployment I signed up on Care.com to do general housework/errand running/etc. A local mom contacted me through it, and now I’m getting paid to sort/fold her laundry, help her decorate, and get her house organized.  I got lucky and booked with a family that can afford as much of me as they want, so I work
