This is great - the “if I have to do it for one person then I have to do it for all of them” is a super big issue because it’s true. Especially one friend, who I admit has good intentions to teach people about nutrition and holistic remedies, but it always includes the shill about essential oils and that shit

This is a great idea, especially since I have local causes that I like to support. I might even give people a choice between several of my favorites.

Hey Jezzies - on a related note, is there a way to tell friends “Eff no, I will not host your scam parties” and still have a chance of remaining friends?

  • How strongly attached to turkey are you? Not. Since Thanksgiving will consist of three people this year I’m going to make two perfect roast chickens and then set the extra meat aside and throw the bones straight into a crock pot to make chicken stock. Turkey is kind of “meh” at best and there’s always too much.

Turkey, even when cooked well, is still pretty dry so I’m all for that gravy.

Indeed! Suckies are the best!

I participated in our local Color Run today! Such a ridiculous good time.

It’s hard to know when to say goodbye to an animal when you haven’t experienced an animal getting old or having a terminal illness. I waited too long with my last dog - she had congestive heart failure and I was in denial as she deteriorated. One morning she started actively dying and then it wasn’t a choice any more.

I got deep into succulents this year after a move (the succulents I brought with me exploded in happiness with their new digs). I happen to love their forgiving nature and crazy looks, but everyone has their interest :) The available light on your balcony will have a heavy influence on what you can successfully grow.

Man, I was so broke out of college and then stupidly bought a house right away (the house made me money later so I guess it was worth it), but I sure learned how to stretch a dollar then. Here’s some tips off the top of my head:

I’m asking for succulents so I can grow ‘em and split ‘em and then landscape my next house with them!

F8AW8SU is the best I’ve seen. I did see 13 MPG on a Grand Cherokee once. Don’t know if they were bragging or so dissatisfied with their purchase that it warranted a more expensive annual registration.

if you rely on overdraft protection to fund your overspending problem

You aren’t alone - a friend did the same thing with her second pregnancy after her first baby was stillborn. I didn’t even know she was pregnant until she was posting newborn pics (she’s not local to me, obvs). It’s not silly to know what your heart can handle - this has to be the most incredibly difficult thing to

A note to add on to this - since the car seat will be affected in a blow out make sure to check the cover’s care tag before washing. Many require a delicate cycle and drip dry only (the heat from the dryer can affect the flame retardant on the fabric). If there’s a separate foam pad under the seat area you can wash

This is exactly what I thought too. I don’t even have kids and know not to do that.

Because they don’t know how to typography. It would have worked if they put her name in the same font as Happy, but that’s actually one of the less egregious sins of this banner.

Ha! I knew I recognized it. It’s Great Vibes from Font Squirrel. They couldn’t even pay for a font.

The typography on that is making me twitch.

I dunno, the police were hassling the protestors at his office last week.
