I disagree because at this point in gaming history, art style and direction are getting more focus regardless of how powerful a hardware can be. Ocarina of Time was an extremely ambitious project for everyone at Nintendo, they were likely more focused on gameplay than the story and waypoint. Nintendo is famously known to add the story toward the end of development period so they must have putting and refining things together.

If the receptions are pretty damn good for this game, hopefully Game Freak would build on that foundation (and hire art and design people who can truly take advantage of full 3D format) for the next mainline game.
