I spent countless hours coming up with 8 man team builds for my middle-teir guild during college classes.  I’m gonna see how I can hop back into this, even for some RA if people are around.  PvP in this game was unmatched.

Its a little bit like it. Sort of. I really liked the maps in 2 much more. The amount of hidden stuff was crazy! Still some of the best map design in a game I’ve ever seen. Destiny 1/2 and that new Tomb Raider gave me some really similar vibes in how they hide stuff on their maps, but still don’t come close to what

I never could get into Wow, but I played the hell out of GW 1 and 2.

Started gw1 about 6 months after launch. Played gw2 since launch. Love the story. Wish the devs would stop killing the asura that we like.

Rumor has it FFXI may be getting a big content update or even an expansion for its 20th anniversary and it actually gets some minor updates from time to time. So this isn’t completely out of left field.

I sank far too many hours into this game (and all of its expansions), but it’s pretty cool knowing I can hop back into it if I want to. I loved coming up with different builds for those 8 skill slots and testing them out, and it’s something I wish GW2 would have kept.

Gw1 is a strange thing. Where as many games of the day were fully open world affairs, GW was open massively multiplayer in outposts, the world was entirely instanced. The heavy use of minions/hired heroes/etc was also necessary if one was going to play solo.

This was the only game to ever have truly contended with WoW imo, at least from a gameplay perspective.

After spending 1000s of hours in the game, I did 90% of what I wanted to do. The rest is all grind that I just dont have time for.
