Yeah, that part didn’t make sense to me, maybe they mixed up the order. As for who is the right or wrong in this case, really hard to say without more evidence, you only get verbal accounts from either side. This one gets tricky. Not listening to crew instructions on an aircraft is a federal offense. It’s better to remain very calm, not talk back, listen to all instructions, document everything and contact the service department after the fact.
