Eh, if you live in most Midwestern cities you are going to be pushing a significantly longer commute than 5 miles. I love Mazda and I should be in the ideal target market but my 22 mile each way (42 daily) commute in Oklahoma precludes something like this.

My major takeaway on this story is that the overwhelming majority of people respond like you, with instant outrage based on preconceptions and little interest in the facts of the matter.

As an owner/active person in the Miata community, that is 100% not true, as best evidenced by all of the folks ditching their 2016-2018 ND’s for 2019's to get the extra 26 horsepower.
