Why don't you like Box Prince? Is it because it doesn't have enough of a story, or is it because the whole cats in boxes shebang seems too cynically calculated to be cute?

Personally I think of "Trouble in Lumpy Space" as the weakest from Season 1. It's telling that while they kept LSP around, they never revisited that setting ever again.
I think my personal favorite bit was King of Ooo saying "Enhance!" and then scooting them all the way across the room.
Random thought: I want to see Finn go all Laurie Anderson with his autotune voice.
Yes! I thought that too.
Well, she's voiced by Ako, who's only temporarily back as a storyboarder, so it might not be as convenient for her to voice someone in the future.
Yeah, this is great. There's obviously a throwback vibe to this one (Jake's design in particular looked very reminiscent of Season 1, which I think can be cracked up to Kent Osborne's influence on the boards) but one of the things I like about it is that, like "Jake the Brick", it shows how far the show has come in…
I assumed it was a Pet Sematary thing.
Yeah, there was a little too much of characters telling us how they felt (something that they've been a little clumsy with in all the episodes so far, even the PB/Marcy one to a certain extent) and the Starchy stuff was funny and quietly ridiculous but kinda got in the way of any actual pathos.
"I could've had any of the fresh widows in town, but I chose you!"
This episode is a great example of one of those things about Adventure Time: the plot develops in weird haphazard tangents that might seem anticlimactic or cruel out of context, but the show always lands on its feet.
I've wondered for a long time about why the show hasn't used that pairing more. I mean, it's not like "friends and ex-lovers" is a character archetype that would require an eye-raising amount of intimacy to do correctly. Ruby and Sapphire are defined in terms of their relationship; with PB and Marcy, it only really…
The irony, of course, is that a lot of the "respect representation" abuse is framed with the explicit intent of making the fandom a safe space for marginalized people. And that's exactly what makes it not a safe space for so many people!
For better or for worse, while tumblr has pretty awful community norms, it does seem to be the nexus of a lot of the best fandom content, and I'm not even just talking about the art.
Yeah, I realize I'm kinda preaching to the choir here. In fairness, I've had that little spiel queued up for a long time— well before the fandom drama broke. I'm too tumblr-shy to actually post it where it might be somewhat relevant.
So, uh, I don't want to agitate any of the Adventure Time fans who got understandably pissed off when the SU comments thread kinda took over the community here, but has anyone been following the SU fandom drama recently? A fanartist got harassed to the point of attempting suicide after she made some (fairly unskilled)…
"Remember that time you turned all the water on Mars into hair… and we got so thirsty we drank it!… And when we drank it we went bald!"
Yeah, for some reason I don't think of the big network animated sitcoms when I think of cartoons. Simpsons and KotH are obvious examples, and Bob's Burgers is making its way up there as time goes on, too.
Is there another cartoon that's managed to sustain quality for as long a time-frame?
Honestly, this felt like the most explicit the show has been about outlining a message in a really long time. Maybe since Season 5.
