Well, he's tried. He just hasn't gotten the hang of the more formal gem fusion dances.

Yeah. A bad R&M joke.
The gems should be worried. If Peridot gets her power armor back, she might go on a purge…
I liked this, but it felt a little perfunctory to me. We know that Peridot's over-the-top, belligerent attitude is just an act, but I still wasn't prepared for the facade to drop so thoroughly. For Peridot to be terrified of thunderstorms like a pet dog (hasn't she been on Earth long enough to experience rain before?)…
If anyone ever asks me if I've seen Black Mirror, I'll say, "Is that the show where…" and then start summarizing the episode of Doctor Who where the Master takes over Britain and see how long it takes them to get mad.
You weren't already?
On the note of CN scheduling gripes, I'm ticked off that we know that AT will be airing a miniseries sometime in October but we still have no clue when the premiere is.
I love the dynamic where Steven is constantly trying to open up to Peridot and she's constantly endeavoring to deny him petty things.
I think my favorite moment with Peridot in the entire episode was when she said "Why would you make such a miscalculation?" while huddled up, hiding behind her legs with this great petulant-child expression on her face.
I feel like the Gems were maybe a little bit too glib in this episode. It's one thing to think of Peridot as a hated enemy unworthy of respect, it's quite another to be entirely incurious about the warnings of impending doom she keeps dropping, especially with how little the Crystal Gems know about Homeworld in the…
I think it's mostly that arguing over grades gives you a mostly-contentless way of expressing enthusiasm for an episode.
Peridot calling Garnet a "dirty war machine" is remarkably similar to a certain Earth insult…
I can see Peridot acting super braggy after she finally fuses with someone else down the road. She's a little incompetent and kind of cute, but she does have an amusing need to lord it over others.
Honestly, SU seems to be the only show with a consistent schedule on Cartoon Network right now.
I just feel that the storyboarders on this show are very good at drawing fight scenes and action sequences, and it'd be a shame if the show started losing that part of its DNA.
I dunno. My main problem is that the show has been constantly making nods towards Steven and Connie's responsibility and dark things on the horizon, while the show itself has probably never been less action-focused than it is right now.
I feel like Dan Harmon is slowly turning into Slavoj Zizek. Is there a Critical Theory episode of Community?
I think we'll see it eventually. It's far more likely that the Gems will infiltrate Homeworld than Homeworld will invade Beach City.
My theory about Lars and Sadie was that Lars realized Sadie was interested in him after "Island Adventure" and asked her out, and Sadie's reassural of Lars that "he's very nice" in "Alone Together" was actually the immediate aftermath of her turning him down.
