His anger over the play was great. He and Connie could be book club buddies.

That's the realm of fanfic. It's too complicated (and potentially irreconcilable even within canon).

We'll probably learn who he is eventually. I hope he lost his eye in some tale of harrowing outlawry!

I was being sarcastic. (Although I didn't find "Chille Tid" especially harrowing, because I don't think it told us anything about Malachite we couldn't have inferred.)

It's called "Friend Ship"! How bad could it be?

With the following "Acting!" high-five, of course.

I think she looks cooler now than she did then.

Suitcase Sam! He had a poster last episode. He was in "Onion Trade" in a bit part.

It's not clear exactly how tall any of the gems are, especially the big fusions. I'd like to believe it's the Temple Fusion (if only for my bingo card), but it's not made clear and it only seems to have four arms.

I'd like to see Pearl's face when Jamie put a birthday hat over his nose for his costume of her.

I feel a little sad that, despite the implication in "Sworn to the Sword" that humans were part of what inspired the gems to break out of their predetermined castes and become their own people, they decided to place the chronology of the Gem War back so far in time as to preclude any crossover with any of the pop

I saw Onion as the Magic Man of the show prior to this episode. I was half expecting his house to be a wreck.

Jamestown's not far from Delmarva. Do you think next episode will be SU taking on tropes from Pocahontas?

"He's my little troublemaker!" *takes scissors and throws them away*

Oh, it's Jackie Buscarino. I was getting GF cast members confused.

This was actually my favorite of the week so far. I feel like the show's been trying a more reserved tone that it doesn't have down yet, so the comparative lightness of this episode was a refresher. And I didn't really notice the stiltedness.

Yeah, I got that vibe from this one.

I feel like this episode came out of the show staff realizing they screwed up a little by turning the mute kid into a mysterious terror and deciding to back up a bit, giving him a more mundane and lovable edge. There's still a lot of disturbing stuff, but it's the terror of awkward social interaction, not the whims of

Who played Vidalia? I think it was Linda Cardellini, but I can't quite place it.
