This is one reason why I kinda like the headcanon where the gems are polyamorous.

You know, I just watched this episode and they really do hit a lot of other beats with her character, and the gag about Rose is very short, all things considered. Don't worry too much.
Steven explaining his first dream in an increasingly slack monotone is really cool because it's fun to listen to him turn into Brendon Small over the course of thirty seconds.
I think the more androgynous nature of the modern Homeworld gems is just a cultural trend. Lapis looks very feminine.
Onion is from Ocean Town.
Yeah. Pretty sure if you switch a couple of the genders you just resurrected the idea of the Nice Guy.
Wow. That's asking a *lot*. Does she have to resort to a steady diet of slashfic to get by?
How the hell does this show have such fast turnaround? Are our emotions the product of terrifying animation sweatshops?
It wasn't really a joke at all in "We Need to Talk", though. And she certainly didn't act the same way there.
I still find it weird that gems can just decide to call themselves a new mineral. Like, aren't they *innately* that? A diamond shouldn't be able to change into a quartz any more than one could turn lead into gold.
I mean, whatever, in the end ratings aren't important for anyone not deciding to watch the show in the first place. Honestly, the only thing that worries me about the ratings is that people are going to look down on us for some reason because of all the A's.
I think if I have a problem with Thurm's ratings, it's that he'll sometimes give a high rating to an episode that feels more based on affirming and respecting an aspect of the show that other people dislike, rather than an appraisal of quality. (See also: his A for "Say Uncle").
"Keeping it Together" seems of a piece with "Marble Madness", resolution- and quality-wise to me. "Chille Tid" is a different sort of episode than we're used to, but I think a lot of that has more to do with showcasing a more weird and deadpan sense of humor than we're used to seeing than the lack of plot resolution,…
I think Muto's twitter or his formspring?
Whoa, same top 4 as mine.
Adventure Time's only coming back in the fall.
1. "Rose's Scabbard"
2. "Alone Together"
3. "Winter Forecast"
4. "We Need to Talk"
5. "An Indirect Kiss"
You know, people always talk about how terrible it would be if really prominent characters from BB showed up in BCS and they have a point, but BB had a pretty deep bench of supporting characters. I'd love to see Larry Hankin show up as Old Joe again.
She grew up on a rock farm!
The relationships are nonbinary (whatever that means for a species without a "binary" in the first place) but the imagery is pretty clearly lesbian.
