I almost expect the real "crime" of the gems to not be rebellion or impeding the reactivation of Kindergarten, but breaking Peridot's stuff.

She's overly literal, easily flustered, and doesn't realize how silly she sounds.
They've been tossed back to season 2. I wouldn't ascribe too much to it.
The one thing about this show's serialization that has annoyed me so far is that they give him healing powers the episode before he needs them for the plot, and then he immediately loses them the episode afterwards.
Yes. I don't remember the exact quotes Connie was reading but the scene very much reminded me of Lyra spying on Lord Asriel's presentation at the beginning of The Golden Compass. Add to that the character being named "Lisa"…
I loved the shots of the walnuts and rain falling down onto Bill's float. They were beautiful.
Well you could forgive him for the concept being unfamiliar…
Pearl's begrudging half-smile after Garnet pulls her inwards was adorable.
And then Peridot totally fails to even recognize them.
Yeah, I can't help but feel that this show is more distinctive at slice-of-life plots through an action lens than it is at straight action.
I think there was a deeper theme in this episode: the silly and banal things people will do to stave off boredom. King Huge stuffs his face and waits for the next chime of the cuckoo clock, while Bill spends his time playing FreeCell. The contrast of Bill's austerity and King Huge's hedonism was actually pretty…
However, they did air tonight's episode. And it was great.
Was that maybe the second episode order that eventually got merged into S1?
Even if they just review the two-parter I'll be happy.
Wow, it sounds like the story went full Tehanu.
I'm not sure he was unusually racist, but he definitely was a little shit.
Personally I was just a sucker for all the books about animals. Even in 4th and 5th grade, when I knew pretty well I was above the age bracket, I'd start reading Warriors and Guardians of Ga'Hoole, which are basically the crappy bulk fantasy of the genre.
I remember reading the Cay in 6th grade. We had to write a little scene in the same universe for English class, which ended up with my English teacher spending like thirty minutes trying to teach me the proper way to write ebonics.
Yeah, he was the only character on that cast who felt more sharply defined in S1, like when he slept with that lady to get the park for the pit approved.
Fair enough. I'm clueless and mostly nonplussed by this news but still optimistic.
