Too bad you are in the wrong
Too bad you are in the wrong
There are five ad formats on YouTube : Pre-roll video which includes skippable and non-skippable video ads, in video pop-up (also known as the overlay ads), sponsor cards, and side ads. Content ID claimers, get to choose the type of ads to serve, based on what they choose in their policy . They earn money off all five…
Well lookee here:
sorry, but that is not evidence. the claims made by someone who is not a YouTube google employee or doesn’t have the documents, is not evidence. It still his uneducated opinion on what happened.
Top add:
I’m reading the direct documents givent to Content ID account holders. The Help articles are often out of date and require feedback to get them updated. The articles you linked to do not dispute anything I’ve said.
What are you asking?
“Cannot monetize” in the screenshot given is as explained here:
It all boils down to what the Content ID Claimant has uploaded as an asset to their CMS (which is turned into a digital signature). I’m sure there are false positives happening as a lot of songs have similar melody’s or outright, take lyrics from another song to use in it’s own.
But so far, the system seems to be…
My issue is that it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The system is encouraging a “shoot first, ask questions later” environment, and it’s been out of control.
That was a legitimate reason to have his channel reinstated, because the copyright takedown /DMCA was being abused . Abuse can lead to that persons/company’s CVP account to be terminated as well as any channels that he/they may have.
If you dispute a claim without a valid reason, the content owner may choose to take down your video. If this happens, your account will get a copyright strike.
But before if a content creator disputed a claim, they could gain a strike for doing so.
and yes I do hate the limit, but understand why there is a limit.
Now if only they could figure out a way to PUNISH the people making false claims,
Also, if for some reason all 3 disputes will not be solved in your favor you’ll get 3 strikes, which instantly kills your account.
I just asked on YouTube’s Help form this question, on their pinned thread about his announcement. Hopefully will get a reply.
and you would be right if you weren’t wrong.
BAM! Found the explanation of “Can’t monetize video” or “Cannot be monetized!”
you know that’s not how ads work right? everybody sees ads, even the person who uploaded the video.
oddly, it finds in favor of the uploader often. Often times, Content ID owners just releases the claim in their Content ID CMS.
