I wasn’t alive when Nixon was president, but I think even he would be horrified if he saw what the EPA has become today.

I think you need to start looking for a job as either a judge, a prosecutor, or the leader of an authoritarian government.

Here’s a wood scent for you.

If I had dollar for every time I’ve seen a shift knob just slapped on with zero fucks given and the shift pattern totally off center, then I would have an amount somewhere in the 3 digits at this point. I can’t take it. It drives me nuts!

You think that they can and should crush 500,000 cars? You are being an unrealistic extremist.

No. It doesn’t. It’s still a Prius.

1st gear: I’m not actually too worried about VW at the moment. What I’m more curious about is if any other automakers have been doing similar things to cheat on emissions tests and haven’t been caught yet.

They were trying to avoid that, yes, but I think they gave up on that awhile ago. Honestly at this rate I’m waiting on them to give up bringing the SKYACTIV-D to the U.S. entirely. It was supposed to be here 3 years ago.

It’s another way to say it passed the test with flying colors, basically.

I agree. This post is very non-partisan. It’s hard to find any political posts on Gawker Media that don’t have a painfully obvious left-winged spin to it.

Romney actually would have been president in 2012, but so many Republican voters hated him that they stayed home on election day. The GOP is great at picking shitty candidates, which causes apathy with the Republican voters. It’s probably going happen again this coming election as well.

I heard a terrible grinding/scraping noise coming from under my Volvo when I was driving the other day. I seriously thought I was in for something pretty expensive.....It was a tree branch that had gotten lodged under the car.

I remember it mainly being being blamed on the floormats on some Toyotas and Lexus’s. Dealers were instructed to shorten the gas pedals to prevent the floormats from jamming the gas pedal. I don’t really think they ever truly found anything wrong with the electronic throttles themselves however. I do also remember

I agree, but what would have really happened if a white kid made that same clock is nobody would have even batted an eyebrow. I blame the rampant islamaphobia in America for Mohamed getting singled out.

This could have happened in any state. I know, it’s easy to generalize just because Texas is a “red” state, but you shouldn’t. Not everybody in a Texas is a racist conservative, and Islamaphobia is alive and well all over the country.

I saw one one of these in Oklahoma City of all places this past weekend. Now I finally know what it was!

So, if they supposedly can’t be prosecuted then can the U.S. government ban them from ever returning to the United States? The U.K. seems to have no problem banning people who pissed them off.

Looks like it can only do a few things and does none of them remotely well. CP.

An Infiniti with a manual transmission? Are you shitting me?! I thought Infiniti had pulled a Mercedes and gave up on them by now.

Nope. I actually had a 1997 Infiniti I30t with the special BBS wheels like this one. Well, they’re not very common and I think somebody else who had these rims lost a center cap and found out that center caps for these are very hard to find and that they would have to pay a lot to get another one ($60 per center cap
