I liked this game a lot but felt the time travel and decisions were pretty forced and part of the story. The combat was pretty damn fun though. Another Atlus published title that needs more attention is Stella Glow.

WoW used to have a stupid amount of buttons as well, they were just mostly even more useless then some of the ones FF XIV has. My personal theory is the GCD is what it is to make it friendlier to the controller users they wanted to attract with the console verison.
I actually like ninja because of that to a degree, what kills ninja is the slow ass server code and UI can’t keep up with .5 sec cd mudras so you just end up clipping your GCD if you want to use something besides raiton. The ninja opening is very hectic though I give you that with lots of crap to apply and off gcd to…
To all the people below saying oh you didn’t get far blah blah blah, yes at 60 it has some of the hardest rotations to do right in an mmo I have played. But that is largely because of the boredom inducing 2.5 sec global cooldown and the boss fights that frequently have bosses that jump out of the arena or are…
After playing Dragon Quest Heroes it hit me how awesome a Final Fantasy musou would be.
Yes! I don’t understand why they couldn’t do this to FF V and FF VI instead of that awful crap they put out on phones.
They realized releasing the same month as Trails of Cold Steel II was a bad idea!
I had a similar but not as profound experience with FF XI. It was my first MMO (I didn’t even know about this term when I started playing) I was just a Final Fantasy fan and thought this was another FF game. I made an elvaan, a decision that still haunts me to this day, so I got creamed by orcs in ghelsba non stop but…
I was also in a poor family growing up and we never had a PC so this was my first PC RPG. I didn’t even know about Baldurs Gate I/II until many years later.
It was never the wipes that bothered me, it was standing at the entrance for two hours waiting for enough people to log in to start.
I played it for a while when ARR launched and when Heavensward released. I felt the story for 2.0 was stretched out to far between the good bits. The post release story stuff was interesting though, especially the final parts of it that lead into the expansion. The story in the expansion is the second best I have…
Nice list, I played all of these except Soulblazer, and The Last Story. Most of them I played when the consoles they are on were current.
Have two PCs but good ports are few and far between any more.
I ask for Tales of the World Reve United and this is what they give. Great!
