Why this comes up every time I'll never know but it's really a lot simpler than the explanation in this article. Companies locked content on discs for various reasons (DLC available for people without hard drives was one of the early reasons) and charged customers to access said content after the initial sale was

Having read the reviews and played the game from start to finish I too think several (not all) of the reviews were overboard.

You can update from the phone itself without iTunes syncing.

LOL, I know right?

Good point. VERY good point.

As an avid mobile/iPhone gamer let me say this completely biased comment...

Nope.

My blackness negates the need of UD to know what a figga is. :)

I'm thinking that Figga doesn't mean what you think it means. Might want to look that one up, it's taken already.

Best thing I've read all day.

You make me feel bad. :(

Well, speaking for me and only me, I buy all games as a total package. So if a game, like BF3, has a campaign then I'm going to consider it when buying and playing the game. With that said, I'm also the type that always go through the campaign (if one is present) before diving into multiplayer to getting destroyed lol.

The 360 doesn't have double the RAM of the PS3. The 360 has 512MB of unified RAM and the PS3 has that same amount split into two pools. However, what so many people seem to be unaware of is that both pools of RAM on the PS3 can be accessed by both the Cell CPU and the RSX GPU.

Unless they changed their drivers and control panel (I wouldn't know since I don't update Nvidia drivers unless I need to for a game using hardware physx) You can go into Nvidia's control panel and set Physx settings based on your setup. You can either have Physx run on the same card(s) you render from or have it use

I didn't build a new PC for Battlefield 3 because I just built one in February, 2010 that's still way above the system requirements to max out nearly any game out there.

Wrong again Nulls. In addition to having been in PC gaming for over 25 years now, I did do an in-depth analysis because it was required for a part time job (i.e. writing for another company on games and technology under a pseudonym). But that's not germane to this discussion. You can defend them and get nasty with me

The driver excuse is BS and it only takes a few minutes of testing to prove. How do you have a game that has "driver issues" with both of the hardware vendors you supposedly tested your software on? How do you claim to have tested on pre-existing drivers yet players with those pre-existing drivers have technical

I'm a huge fan of Carmack and id (Rage was one of those purchases where I trusted the developers so I bought the game immediately). With that said, I hope this rumor is true. Carmack and Co. really let me and a lot of other people down with this game in multiple ways. That entire team needs to be re-evaluated because

He was Steve Jobs. Apple didn't "let" him do anything.
