@Bard of Awen: Exactly.
What's interesting is that they just pull the links and pages to access the content, but the content is still there on their servers at all times it seems.
@dowingba: Wrong. I have worked nights extensively. For 5 straight years ending in 2005 I worked midnight shift with a wife and child to take care of when I was off. I had no more and no less time than I do now working days. It's the same shift time.
@Neural_Net: Exactly.
@dowingba: Working nights doesn't leave you any less time than someone working any other shift so I don't know what you were trying to get at there.
@Batman: Exactly.
I was involved in the Beta for this game after picking up an interest in it. I won't be picking up the full version. The issues I have with the game are too numerous for me to go into detail (summary: clunky, not fun) here but Mr. Smedely did get one thing right. DCUO is unlike the other MMO's out there...that is not…
As long as the "heavy hitters" keep ignoring the iDevices I'll keep buying and enjoying Gamelofts well made clones. Gameloft almost single-handedly makes my iPhone worth playing with a few notable exceptions and indie titles.
@kraed: Not surprising, but sad. I've lost count of how many "he's modding his own stuff" comments I've read when the story is about him "servicing" consoles which means he is doing this on systems he doesn't own as a service...potentially for a profit.
@RockyRan: Precisely.
@sirnicolai: Thank you. I have a 360 a PS3 and a PC for that very reason. I like GAMES and get what I need to play them and enjoy them the way I want to.
@Navi Vong: Correction: "universal app" means that buying the iPhone version also nets you the iPad version instead of having to pay for two separate versions.
@RockyRan: Live "in its entirety" did not buckle for a week when COD4 released. Some people had issues (enough to warrant action) but not all (I fortunately did not...and still got the free XBLA game).
@fuchikoma: Exactly. I'm not thrilled about the apologist workarounds either.
@Avinant: December is the official holiday sale but there was a black Friday sale of some sort last year as well.
@thedoommarine: I don't think he's far off. 25% of 360 library could simply include the shovelware and the XBLA games. Rage definitely outstrips those in the looks department with a few exceptions such as Shadow Complex.
@Gameslaya: Ditto. I killed on last years Steam Sale...and still haven't gotten through all those games. I got 37 games for $150 dollars. That's about $4 per game and included games like Arkham Asylum, Left 4 Dead, The Witcher, Mini Ninja's, Torch Light, Tomb Raider Underworld, Serious Sam HD, STALKER, etc.
@hagren: I still find it amusing as well. Maybe some Kotaku members need to lighten up? What a surprise... /sarcasm
@plasticmouse: I was just going to throw the Admiral out there until I read this.
