@flanker22: I don't know. Dead or Alive 4 still looks more fluid than Tekken 6 IMO and DOA4 runs at 60 fps with good use of motion blur techniques. #ratchetclank

EA is really diving into the iPhone headfirst. Most of their games on the platform have been good as well. NBA Live was just released for the platform as well. That will probably be on the next chart toppers list.
I liked the 1st Resistance as a back to basics approach to shooters, sort of old school. Carry as many guns as you want, need health packs, etc.
@hardcache: I honestly think the dual-analog stick coupled with a few smaller things helped catapult Halo to where it is. Coming from PC gaming not much Halo brought to the table was terrbily revoultionary (more like bringing decent PC ideas to console players unfamiliar with PC games) but the DAS coupled with Halo's…
@(Zombie) D Mitsuki, Gotta have guts kid!: With smaller tech leaps on the software/engine level inbetween hardware leaps... #dirt2
@The_Saint: I'll argue that Goldeneye was impactful on the N64's sales. Goldeneye didn't usher in a mass influx of FPS development like Halo did. After Goldeneye there was perfect dark and not much else (we can even throw Turok in there)..and mostly just on N64. After Halo there was....well just look at the shelves…
@hardcache: Pretty much. Goldeneye and Perfect Dark were all anyone really bothered with. Stuff like Wolfenstein 3D, Doom and Duke Nukem 3D didn't really grab the console attention like it did the PC side (I play PC and consoles equally as much). Halo plus Dual Analog sticks on consoles changed everything. Ever since…
@simplyPARTICLE: Personally I want the fullest experience possible on my iPhone 3gs. I have 107 non-default apps currently installed and 67 are games, they all run flawless on the 3gs. Even ones I couldn't stand playing on my old 3g due to jumping framerates have new life in them.
@Falsoman: I second that. #iphone3gs
@Ursus-Veritas: Exactly. There were a few console FPS's before Halo and a TON after Halo. Anyone in their Mid 20's or higher who follows gaming should know this from experience. #lionheadstudios
Sound list for the stated reasons. #lionheadstudios
@Noodle-Works: Personally I enjoy bejeweled more than Trism. Trism goes largely untouched on my iPhone. #ipodtouch
@Pezdispenser: yeah, adding to what has already said...ALL the kids at my son's elementary school are all over Bakugan. They're all over Pokemon as well though. #bakuganbattlebrawlers
I was buying this on day one for the co-op campaign. Seeing as that is largely gone I'll end up sticking with COD4 a little longer. #modernwarfare2
@TheFlyingGerbil: No HDD check so there is no safeguard against someone attempting to buy a downloadable item without the means to download it.
@tonicmole: Ironically this comment was free. OMG, it must be true!
Spare me. This is a comment solely intended to try to get people on the fense to buy now and to make the PS3 look even more attractive.
Great, thoughtful article. A genuinely worthwhile read.
@RedRaptor: Kinda hard to make that claim for the iPhone version since this is the first Madden on iPhone ever.
@SEX_BISON: I second that. They consistently put out good games on the iPhone. And by that I mean games that are good, not games that would only be good on the iPhone.
