I don't really care about the characters (except for maybe Michael and his son), they're not meant to be good people or very deep characters. But that's not the point of the show: For people who like it, it's such a deep show of comedy with an unbelievable amount of callbacks (to callbacks, and on and on), meta jokes,

I never understand comments like this. I fucking hate much of the Star Trek community (this site has an excellent Star Trek community though), but I much enjoy the different versions of that show. How stuff like that can lessen your enjoyment of a show is beyond me.

Well, Hyden is right in that Community was never going to be more than a niche show. But that doesn't make it any worse for the people who like it (including me!).

BOOSH.

What vitrol? I don't see much of that here, surprisingly enough.

Did all Saw movies and both Hostel movies escape with just a R rating? I seem to remember the first Hostel movie getting some super rare high rating here in Norway (that I haven't seen before or after except on seriously fucked up shit like Cannibal Holocaust).

It does seem like it's cancelled, yes. And that's pretty much bullshit. If you look at the history of "animal actors", did they really expect that no horses would die during production? That seems pretty impossible.

Oh come on, it's over because of this? That statement looks a lot like a cancellation, "plan to continue in the future" indeed. Well, still looking forward to Game of Thrones and Treme I guess…

It was meant as a diss, @avclub-df80f70f60b1c678f8c91696f4a54f5f:disqus hates the show.

I can answer myself: It went from 28m viewers in the season premiere, to around 12m viewers in last week's episode. But that 28m viewers was always going to be a one-off, and the show has averaged about 14m the last couple of years. We'll get a tenth(!) season of that shitty, shitty show.

Boosh.

Anyone know how that show is doing in the ratings after Sheen left? I'm not sure why him leaving should matter because people watching 2.5 men obviously don't give a shit about quality, but you never know.

Well, I'm amazed that they've already begun filming. But even if the show is done before this time next year, HBO will want to put it into a fitting slot. And that's January onward, where they don't really have anything else.

Who cares about trailers? HBO comedy trailers tend to be pretty weak, even for the better shows. The creative talent behind it is awesome, that's all I care about…and it was just that one trailer. And I've heard good things about the pilot episode (Todd, I think it was, among other people, seemed to like it).

Well, this still seems to have that old, incredibly tired "wacky family" thing going for it, even if it's about the first family.

Whitney will be dead long before this airs. As will probably the other two shows, and that's not just wishful thinking.

Dharma and Greg fucking sucks.

It's like all the Neckbeas around here.

It has been getting pretty solid reviews, so my guess is that it's at least a B-range movie.

That has been happening for years and years, and it fucking sucks. That's much of the reason why I don't really watch trailers anymore. Some trailers are literally the whole story of the movie, from start to finish, and I don't understand why that sells movies (I assume all this is focus tested to death, and that it
