I guess this author missed the part of the story where they plug in a Sprint Cell phone and find random IP addresses of cars traveling on highways across the country giving them easy access to do anything they wanted to any of those cars.
Makes me wonder what it would take to solder the internals of a firewall between the cellular modem and the rest of the car’s systems, rigging a console cable port out the dash somewhere. Just for fun.
Because the Infotainment system might need information from it. Speed comes to mind.
